Meticulous care is in progress in this photo. Dr. Susan Ellis, Area Supervisor, works at uncovering the disarticulated bones that were revealed in these wonderful Iron Age burial jars. There were two jars, both with identical burial techniques. One jar had and adult male skeletal remains along with a young boy. The other jar had only one adult male. Placed outside both of these burial jars were Iron Age hydria. Wheat and grape seeds were found in the sediments inside both burial jars. |
