The Roman plaza area is a good example of the reuse of previous building material. Column drums were used to fortify the walls, and other stone blocks may have been taking from other installations around the site. The mosaic floor has been broken up due to a slump in the middle of the floor. The steps (upper right) suggest contemporary use of the installation and the basalt street. |
